On a spectacular property with views of a lake and lagoon, we created a home that would serve multiple generations for lively gatherings and relaxing weekends. The home’s shingle style vernacular was identified early, with a goal to create a home that was truly special, with its own distinct personality.

Cited as bookends across an expansive lawn that pours down to the water’s edge, the main home is balanced by a guest house that complements, without mimicking, the main house. A series of social spaces define much of the main floor, from a window-lined gathering room to a large living kitchen and a gracious screened porch.
