Owners of this fabled Lake Club property wanted to renovate it and make it the perfect year-round family gathering space. They desired an open and inviting home, with a large guest wing fit to accommodate visits from their four children and anticipated grandchildren. They drew inspiration from other local seasonal homes and requested that it appear as though it had been constructed at least a century prior. They wanted every area to be functional, leaving no dead spaces in the home, but they did not want to compromise the homey and comfortable feeling. To achieve this look, a mix of traditional architectural elements were incorporated in a somewhat utilitarian composition. Arched entryways and white walls create an effortlessly relaxed flow between rooms, accented by clean and crisp nautical d├ęcor.
